The greatest assets of ski Kranjska gora are for sure the ski slopes extending from the hill of Vitranc to the village of Podkoren and Planica. The skiiers can use fourteen ski lifts and five chairlifts, three of them are 4seated. Most of the trails, about 70ha, are covered also by artificial snow and are convenient for skiers of different skiing abililities. Those with more experience will like the polygon of Podkoren where every year the World Ski Cup competitions are taking place. Beginners and the younger skiers choose ski lifts Kekec, Mojca, Rožle, Tinkara, Pehta, Bedanec which are all named after the characters of the well known mountain stories of the Slovene writer Vandt.
