The Grado Terme Marine webcam looks out from the Marine Thermal Baths over a wide sandy beach and the open Adriatic Sea, towards the morning sun. Hosted by GIT Grado.
The camera sits above the rooftops of the thermal-baths complex, so the view starts close and then opens towards the horizon. In the foreground you see the roofs and the walkway along the beach; beyond them lies the sand, where beach cabins and umbrellas come and go with the season. On the left, a building framed by trees edges the scene, while the shoreline runs across the image to the sea.
Sunrise over the Adriatic and clear images at night
This is a rewarding view for watching the sun come up. In autumn the sun rises over the sea inside the frame and lays a path of light across the water. After dark the image stays sharp and in colour: you can still make out the beach, the cabins, the clouds and even stars, while lights glow along the distant coastline. When the water is low, sandbanks appear close to the shore, so the tide is easy to follow too. You can replay a whole day, from first light to night, in the Terme Marine timelapse.
During the day the wide angle helps you judge conditions at a glance: how calm the water looks, how far you can see and how busy the beach is. Grado’s tradition of seaside health cures dates back to the Habsburg era of the 1800s, and the Terme Marine still stand right on the shore. For other angles of the town, such as the beach entrance and the Aquapark area, see all our Grado webcams.
