The Ljubljana Zoo webcams take you inside ZOO Ljubljana, on the southern slope of Rožnik hill in Ljubljana. Watch the Asiatic lions in their den, the giraffes and zebras outdoors, the meerkats, the black-and-white ruffed lemurs, the yellow-cheeked gibbon and the wild birds at the feeders.

When to watch the animals

Most animals are busiest in the morning and around feeding time, and many rest in the early afternoon. After dark the webcams switch to infrared and the images turn black and white: a good moment to look in on the lions, which are often more active at dusk.

Visiting the zoo

ZOO Ljubljana is open every day of the year, with longer hours in summer. More than 500 animals live along about 5 km of paths, and the zoo lies in the green landscape park of Tivoli, Rožnik and Šišenski hrib, so a visit combines well with a walk in the woods.
