Golte is regarded by plenty of winter sports enthusiasts as one of the loveliest Slovenian ski centres. At an altitude of 1,250 to 1,573 metres, stretching out over 60 hectares of varied terrain are 12 kilometres of groomed, accessible and wide pistes, which are adapted to varying levels of skill, from beginner to expert, and they are also suitable for a wide variety of competitions. The snowy setting of Golte and its surroundings also attract plenty of ski tourers and cross-country skiers. Meanwhile, this 40-year-old established centre is gaining increasing recognition as a summer destination, for active holidays, hiking, cycling, paragliding and exploration.
